As promised, we’re back with the second part of the makeup mistakes that you should not make.
If you don’t know what we are talking about, read part 1 of this blog. We covered a few beauty blunders there that you shouldn’t make. But as they say, we learn only from our mistakes. So here we come, with more of the beauty mistakes you need to avoid –
- Making the shadow too glittery
Eye shadows are like a color palette for your face. But taking it quite literally isn’t very great of an idea. Sure, you can experiment with the bold colors and glitters. But match the eye shadow with the color of your eye. Don’t cover your whole eye with the glitters. Mix it with matte and nude shades.
- Not filling eyebrows the right way
Eyebrows can literally make or break your look. But don’t overfill them. Doing so can make your face look like a clown. Just keep them natural and don’t make them too dark with many lines. If unsure, always go for a lighter shade of brow pencil.
- Going overboard with the mascara
We all love long dark lashes. But too much of anything only ruin the good. Do not apply more than two coats of mascara on your lashes.
Also, your lower lashes do not need as much mascara as your upper lashes. The same application will only make your lower lashes look weirdly long.
We don’t recommend using mascara for more than 3-4 months. It makes your eyes look clumpy. Next time, try this Color Me Beautiful sensitive eye mascara.
- Underestimating the power of blush
Blush provides your face a warm undertone. It can brighten up your face instantly if applied rightly. So we advise not to skip it.
But apply it in just the necessary amounts. Two extra flicks of brush and you can end up looking like a clown.
- Not understanding the nature of the lipstick
The way lipstick changes your look, no other makeup product can. But there is a correct way to apply it.
Don’t put it on chapped lips. First, exfoliate your lips and moisturize them with a lip balm. If you are applying matte shade, don’t even think of skipping this routine. Doing so will leave your lips to look cracked and dry.
- Not paying attention to the neck
Having a different shade on your face and another on your neck – how do you think that looks? Many of us forget to blend your makeup with our necks. But this is a beauty sin. It makes your makeup look extremely amateur and artificial.
